When life gives you lemons, make lemonade
Take more lemons. I know it sounds all wrong. You might think your mood for sure doesn’t need more sourness. Don’t worry, that is not what lemons will provide you. Quite the opposite, I’d dare to say.
It is a proverbial phrase used to encourage optimism and a positive can-do attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. Lemons suggest sourness or difficulty in life, while lemonade is a sweet drink. No lemonade in this blog. Sugar and ice cubes are not suitable for us, but that’s a whole other story, I’ll get back to another time.
Go buy a bunch of organic lemons or limes and Himalayan salt. When you wake up the following day, it’s super simple. First thing in the morning that is, you boil some water. While the kettle is on, you take one lemon, roll it over the table for the meat to soften and the juice to be squeezed out easier. Then you cut through it. Squeeze with the power from your hand, the juice into a cup – both half. If it’s a lime, maybe you want to use two limes. Then you add a half tsp of Himalayan salt. Pour ½ cup of cold water and then fill up with hot water. Drink it. Doesn’t have to take more than a few minutes to drink it. You can add hot water and the Himalayan salt first if you don’t like the salty flavor at the end. Then you add the cold water and squeeze the lemon in at the end. If you mix hot water and lemon first, the vitamins from the lemon is like spoiled.
For me, this really doesn’t take more than 5 minutes in total. I only use a knife and a cup. No need for any fancy gear here. This means you can do this pretty much everywhere you should happen to wake up for another fantastic day.

Then you need to wait like 30-40 minutes before you, naturally have your breakfast. In those 30-40 min., you can do your yoga practice, go for a run, walk the dog, wake up the kids, take a shower, get dressed whatever. Breakfast is your most important meal in the day.
